Due to the quarantine situation, caused by coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to let our guests know how is the situation in Portugal.
Portugal and COVID-19
Portugal declared a state of emergency on 18th of March. This "quarantine" lasted for two weeks, till 01st of April, and afterwards was prolongated for longer term - till 2nd of May.
This brings up some restrictions on movement throughout the country. Most commercial activities are closed, as bars, restaurants, museums, hotels, and your favorite Surf Resort. And collective physical activity is forbidden, actually to surf is forbidden as well. People are told to stay at home and avoid unnecessary displacements. People can go out to buy goods and services (go to supermarkets, pharmacies for example).
Since 19th of March flights from Portugal to most of the countries outside the EU/EEA have been suspended or limited. Flights to and from Italy and Spain remain suspended.
We hope it won’t last for long, and by the end of April we can get back to normal living, so keep a good heart and once you are able to travel – we ‘ll be here for chill, surf and a good company!
CANCELLATIONS due to COVID-19
